Kimseya sp. nov.
Distribution in the Arabian Peninsula: United Arab Emirates (new record: specimens collected by Saji and van Harten, Rosa pers. obs.).
Extralimital distribution: No records.
Remarks: The genus Kimseya includes only one species so far, Kimseya boharti Antropov, 1995 , collected in Uzbekistan. Antropov (1995) included Kimseya in the newly established tribe Kimseyini , but its morphological similarity with Elampini was discussed by Carpenter (1999). After examination of the original type material and of these new records we agree with Carpenter’s (1999) interpretation, and observe a close relationship with the genus Prochridium Linsenmaier, 1968 . Description of this Arabian Kimseya and a revision of the genus Prochridium are planned.
