Remarks. The species can be identified by the spot pattern on the wing, and the shape of the female subgenital plate ( Figure 2F ). Male and female characteristics are presented in detail in Ibañez-Bernal (2008). A discussion on the generic status of the species in the neotropical region is presented in Bravo & Souza (2008). P. furcata is distributed in Canada (British Columbia), USA, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Brazil, being the only known Paramormia species occuring in the neotropics ( Ibañez-Bernal 2008).
