Distribution. Russia (S RFE: SE Khabarovskii Kr., Primorskii Kr., S Sakhalin, S Kurils — Kunashir); Korea, Japan (Hokkaido, Honshu, Izu Islands, Shikoku, Kyushu, Tsushima, Yakushima).

Remarks. In Japan in central Honshu moths fly from May to October, in two or three generations. Larvae feed on flowers of many Ericaceae , and were recorded on flowers of Quercus glauca ( Fagaceae ) and Eurya japonica ( Pentaphylacaceae ) ( Nakajima, Yazaki 2011).
