Lectotype (Lombardi in Taxon 44: 203. 1995): [icon] " Bryonia alba  triphylla geniculata, foliis crassis acidis " in Sloane, Voy. Jamaica 1: 233, t. 142, f. 5, 6. 1707. - Typotype: Herb. Sloane 4: 87, 88 ( BM-SL)  .

Current name: Cissus trifoliata (L.) L.  ( Vitaceae  ).

Note: A superfluous name for Sicyos trifoliata L. (1753)  .
