Material examined. INFUECO stations: BC2 0710, 2 specimens, 129 m depth; BC3 0611, 1 specimen, 80 m depth.

Habitat. Occurring interstitially in coarse and coral sand, seagrasses, mud, from the intertidal zone to depths greater than 240 m ( San Martín & Hutchings 2006). Circalittoral, in the biocenosis of red and orange corals ( Baratech & San Martín 1987; Núñez 1990), maërl beds ( Campoy 1982).

Distribution. Western Atlantic Ocean, Mediterranean Sea, Red Sea, Australia (New South Wales) ( San Martín & Hutchings 2006).
