Remarks.
Dannehl (1921) proposed this name as a “var.” of L. argus ([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775). L. argus is a junior subjective synonym of Plebejus idas Linnaeus, [1760]. According to article 45.6.4 ( ICZN 1999), it is subspecific if first published before 1961 and author expressly used the term “var.”.
