Coniceromyia leucomacula Kung & Brown

Coniceromyia leucomacula Kung & Brown, 2000a: 5 , figs. 8–9.

Diagnosis (male). White oval macula at basal two thirds of forefemur anterior face ( Fig. 320 ); wing circular macula between M2 and CuA1.

Material examined. Holotype ♂, COSTA RICA : Puntarenas: Monteverde Biological Station , 10.33ºN, 84.79ºW, 9–18.iii.1995, Malaise trap, 1700m, B. Brown col. ( LACM). Paratypes : 1♂, same as holotype; 4♂, Cartago: La Cangreja , 9.8ºN, 83.47ºW, vii.1991, Malaise trap, P. Hanson col. ( LACM) ; 1♂, Guanacaste: Est. Cacao , 10.93ºN, 85.47ºW, ii.1989, Malaise trap, 900m, I. Gauld & D. Janzen col. ( LACM).

Hypopygium description ( Figs. 89–92 ). Hypopygium light brown, very similar to C. blomae , differing by the longer ventral lobe of the left epandrial process, and by the five setae on the hypoproct.

Geographical distribution. Costa Rica.
