Coniceromyia valdesi Kung, 2009: 54 , figs. 4, 11–12, 16, 19 –22, 26; Morphbank images 477868, 477869, 477870. Holotype ♂, Colombia, Putumayo, PNN La Paya (IAVH; not examined).

Diagnosis (male). Vein M 2 interrupted midway of its extension; oval patch of dense microtrichia posterior to M 2; CuA 1 concave along its entire extension.

Geographical distribution. Colombia and Ecuador.

Comments. The hypopygium of Coniceromyia valdesi ( Figs. 135–138) is nearly identical to that of C. piricornis , so it is not described here.
