Diagnosis (male). Vein M2 interrupted midway of its extension; oval patch of dense microtrichia posterior to M2; CuA1 concave along its entire extension.

Geographical distribution. Colombia and Ecuador.

Comments. The hypopygium of Coniceromyia valdesi ( Figs. 135–138 View FIGURES 135 – 138 ) is nearly identical to that of C. piricornis , so it is not described here.
