Material examined. Figure 1. Montenegro: Her- ceg Novi, Morinj, mediterranean forest dominated by Quercus near a small town, 285 m a.s.l., 42.4894° N, 018.6290° E, 13 May 2010, Kolcsár L.-P. leg., 1 male, DIPT-JS-2016-0250.
It is a very rare and poorly known European species. The species was described from Russian Karelia ( Polevoi 1996) and there are unpublished records from Norway and Sweden ( Kjaerandsen 2012). Thus, B. melanoleuci is here reported for the first time outside Fennoscandia. Adults have been reared from the fruiting bodies of Melanoleuca melaleuca and M. brevipes ( Polevoi 1996) , and these fungi grow in grassy habitats, including man-made parks ( Salo et al. 2016); the type material of the species was actually reared from mushrooms growing on city parks ( Jakovlev 1993), as B. latipes Tollet, 1943 ).
