Lice of Penenirmus identified to the generic level only were reported from Acrocephalus arundinaceus (L.)*, Emberiza hortulana L. Passer hispaniolensis (Temminck) *, Phoenicurus ochruros (Gmelin) , Turdus philomelos Brehm * and T. viscivorus L. (see Balát, 1958; Touleshkov, 1962, 1964a; Ilieva, 2005).
