Diagnosis. Cercal plate with 2 processes, either lateral or submedian. Surstylus in caudal view arcuate. Larvae feeding on Epichloe .

Species included in this group from China are B. dissecta ( Meigen, 1826) , B. lobata ( Collin, 1967) , B. phrenione ( Séguy, 1937) .
