Remarks.
This is a widespread species that is distributed from western Europe to the Far East, including North Africa and the Near East ( Danilevsky 2018a). The larvae develop under the bark of deciduous trees, but they usually choose the poplar Populus and the willow Salix ( Danilevskaya et al. 2009).
Numerous specimens were collected on the bark of harvested poplars, while some of them were attracted to artificial light sources (Fig. 15H).
