Pseudecheneis sympelvicus Roberts 1998 ZBK : 290, fig. 1. Type locality: Nam Veo, trib. of Nam Phao, 25 km east of Lak Sao, Nam Theun watershed, Mekong basin, Laos. Holotype: ZRC 40359. Paratypes: ZRC 40360 (1).

Distribution: Nam Theun watershed, Mekong drainage (Roberts, 1998; Kottelat, 2001a).
