Distribution. This species occurs from the Brazilian state of Espírito Santo State (latitude 20°S), to RS, and there is a doubtful record of it in Buenos Aires, Argentina (Lemos de Castro, 1958; Araujo et al., 1996). This species has previously been recorded in RS in the regions of Fontoura Xavier and Erexim (Araujo et al., 1996) and this record increases the known range of the species to the north-east region of RS.
