Description. Female. Body length 5.5–8.2 mm.

Head. Flagellum with 22–23 flagellomeres, filiform; 1 st flagellomere 1.5–1.8× as long as wide, 5 th flagellomere square, widest flagellomere 1.5× as wide as long. OED 0.8–0.9× ocellar diameter. Face with rather dense punctures. Clypeus and gena with sparse punctures. MI 0.9–1.0.

Mesosoma . Mesoscutum coarsely and densely punctate, rugose-punctate postero-medially. Mesopleuron and metapleuron coarsely rugose-punctate; sternaulus impressed in frontal 1/3 of mesopleuron. Scutellum slightly elevated, slightly wider than long, with sparse or rather dense coarse punctures and lateral carina in basal 0.2. Area superomedia hexagonal, about as long as wide. Hind coxa densely punctate, without scopa. Hind femur densely punctate, 3.0–3.5× as long as wide. External surface of hind tibia without denticular spines. Areolet pentagonal, frontal distance between veins 2rs-m and 3rs-m 2.0× their width; vein 2m-cu reaching distal to its middle. Vein 1cu-a postfurcal by 2.0× its width.

Metasoma. Postpetiole densely punctate, with slightly elevated median field, without latero-median carina. Gastrocoelus weakly impressed, with lateral ridge. Thyridium obsolete. 2 nd tergite 1.1–1.2× as wide as long, densely and coarsely punctate, dull. 3 rd tergite with sparse fine punctures, shining. Ovipositor sheath reaching beyond metasomal apex by 0.5× length of 7 th tergite.

Color . Black. Palps and flagellomeres 5/6–11/13 ivory. Orbital spot opposite to antennal groove usually and stripe of frontal orbit yellowish (completely black in a small female from Okinawa). Clypeus, face centrally and sometimes scape ventrally reddish. Sometimes hind edge of pronotum and tegula reddish. Scutellum ivory, often ± reddish basally; postscutellum ivory. Tergites black; postpetiole sometimes with reddish suffusion; 2 nd tergite usually red (black with narrow red apical margin in females from Okinawa); 3 rd tergite red or reddish-brown; 3 rd to 7 th tergite with narrow ivory apical margins. Fore and mid coxae and all trochanters ivory; hind coxa reddish-brown. Legs otherwise red or brownish; narrow apex of hind femur infuscate. Hind tibia blackish, with ± extended subbasal reddish ring; hind tarsus and often distal fore and mid tarsomeres blackish. Wings almost hyaline; pterostigma brown.

Male. Body length 5.5–8.5 mm.

Structure. Flagellum with 28–31 flagellomeres, bristle-shaped; 1 st flagellomere 2.2–2.5× as long as wide, distal flagellomeres slightly nodose. Tyloids on flagellomeres 6/7–15/16, oval, maximally 0.3–0.4× as long as their flagellomeres. OED 0.8–0.9× ocellar diameter. MI 0.2–0.3. Hind femur 3.3–3.7× as long as wide. Gastrocoelus much longer than wide. Thyridium small, 0.1–0.2× as wide as interval between thyridia.

Color . Black. Palps, mandible except teeth, labrum, clypeus, face, gena, frontal and outer orbits, scape ventrally, collar, ventral edge and upper margin of pronotum, tegula, subtegular ridge, apical 2/3 of scutellum and usually postscutellum ivory. Tergites black, narrow apical margins of 2 nd to 7 th tergites ivory. Legs brownish; fore and mid coxae, all trochanters and apical margin of black hind coxa ivory; fore and mid legs with ivory frontal stripes; hind femur brown; hind tibia black with subbasal yellowish spot; hind tarsus black. Wings almost hyaline, pterostigma reddish-brown.

Distribution. Japan (Amamioshima Isl., Tokunoshima Isl. and Okinawajima Isl.). New record for Tokunoshima Isl. and Okinawajima Isl.

Remarks. The females from Tokunoshima and Amamioshima islands have mainly reddish 2 nd and 3 rd tergites and reddish fore and mid femora and tibiae. In the females from Okinawa, basal tergites are blackish, fore and mid femora and tibiae brownish, and in one small female face and frons completely black. Since the structure is similar in all these females, we did not separate these forms as different species here.
