Thoracostrongylus velutinus Scheerpeltz, 1965: 243 (type locality: N.E. Burma, Kambaiti , 7000 ft.).

Type material

Paratype (labelled as “Cotypus”). BURMA: 1 male, N.E. Burma, Kambaiti , 2000 m, 28.5.1934, Malaise, Ex coll. Scheerpeltz (NMW) .

Additional materal. 2 males, 1 female, CHINA: Yunnan, pass SW from Baoshan, Gaoligongshan , 4– 8.6.2005, I. Jeniš lgt. (NMW) .

Description

Measurements. Body length: 9.9–10.7 mm. ♂ (mean, n = 3): HW: 1.67; HL: 1.25; CL: 0.80; PO: 0.25; PW: 1.45; PL: 1.65; EW: 2.15; EL: 2.15; ELS: 1.25. ♀: HW: 1.53; HL: 1.35; CL: 0.85; PO: 0.30; PW: 1.50; PL: 1.80; EW: 2.30; EL: 2.15; ELS: 1.05.

Distribution

China (Yunnan); Myanmar.
