Diagnosis. Libythea geoffroyi genia is most similar to L. g. alompra because both have similar dorsal surface coloration, but it can be distinguished by the presence of a bright white discal cell mark and a white mark between M 3 and CuA 2. The hindwing dorsum of both sexes has a narrow orange band from M 1 to CuA 1.
