Diagnosis. Libythea laius tsiandava is similar to the other two subspecies of L. laius but differs in that the large orange mark on dorsal surface of forewing discal cell is clearly fused with the orange mark in cells M 3 and CuA 1. Libythea laius tsiandava also has much larger orange marks on the dorsal wing surface.
Type Examined. Libythea tsiandava Grose-Smith 1891 , HOLOTYPE: ♂, Madagascar ( BMNH).
