Diagnosis. Libythea myrrha myrrha closely resembles L. m. hecura by sharing similar forewing pattern and a weakly falcate forewing apex. This subspecies differs from the latter in that the forewing orange band between Rs 1 and M 1 is separated from the band between M 1 and M 3, which is fused in L. m. hecura.

Remarks. After examination of types and many specimens from Indonesia, it is apparent that myrrhina Fruhstorfer and yawa Fruhstorfer should be synonymized since they cannot be readily distinguished from myrrha Godart.
