Originally described from a specimen collected in Hong Kong by D. Bowring. Schaum (1863), Chaudoir (1876a), Jedlièka (1963), Hua (2002) and Hrdlièka (2003) list this species for Hong Kong.

Mastax pulchella ( Dejean, 1831) View in CoL

Chaudoir (1876a) records this species from Hong Kong. Dejean (1831) recorded the source locality for the type specimen as Indes Orientales. Jedlièka (1963), Hua (2002) and Hrdlièka (2003) list Hong Kong.
