Subgenus Lebia View in CoL
Lebia (Lebia) boysii ( Chaudoir, 1850) View in CoL
Kabak (2003) listed this species for Hong Kong., though he does not list Cymindoidea boysii ( Chaudoir, 1850) which has been recorded in Hong Kong by Jedlièka (1963), and later on by Park et al. (2006). Both species were described from India, named after Captain Boys and described in the same paper. I suspect these two species have been confused and this species is confined to the Indian subcontinent.
Lebia (Lebia) chinensis Boheman, 1858 View in CoL
Boheman described this species from Hong Kong. Also listed as occurring in Hong Kong by Redtenbacher (1867), Gemminger & Harold (1868), Chaudoir (1871a), Andrewes (1924), Jedlièka (1963), Hua (2002) and Kabak (2003). Material: 1 ex. W.T.L., 2.iv.15; Sight record W.T., 11.iv.08; Sight record W.T., 12.iv.08; 1 ex. W.T.L., 20.iv.08; 1 ex. W.T.L., 16.iv.13; 1 ex. W.T.L., 6.v.06; 1 ex. Biology: Imago found April to June. Arboreal, can be attracted to light, it is fully winged and capable of flight.
Lebia (Lebia) callitrema Bates, 1889 View in CoL

Hong Kong, Lantau, Tai O valley, 2.v.15, netted out of tree 2 metres above ground; 1 ex. W.T., 15.v.10, netted from grass; 1 ex. Hong kong, Ng Tung Chai 1.vi.11, netted; 1 ex. W.T.L., 13.vi.08; 1 ex Hong Kong, Lantau, Mui Wo, 31.viii.12. Biology: Imago found February to July. This is quite a common species and is easily attracted to light, especially in spring. Is fully winged. Can be found in both grasses and trees.
Two specimens with orange coloration and bright blue elytra correspond to an unidentified species of the genus Lebia View in CoL . Material: Ƌ Hong Kong, Chuen Lung 3.v.09 Chuen Lung. (Leg. Yui Vor); ♀ W.T.L., 1.x.14. Biology: Imago found May and September. Attracted to light and fully winged.
