Color. Body yellow. Eyes red, darker ventrally. Apex of bucula, labrum, triangle at apex of second rostral segment and longitudinal axis of third rostral segment light brown; fourth rostral segment dark-brown. Dorsal surface of pronotum hyaline; lateral foveate margins opaque. Scutellum almost entirely opaque, with hyaline area restricted to the apex. Hemelytra opaque, yellow; claval commissure, stripe of hemelytral process and longitudinal median stripe hyaline (fig. 9); costal margin brown. Brown stain at ventral surface of foretrochanters and femora and at base of hind femora. Outer margins of ventropleurites dark-brown. Setae yellow to light brown.

Structural characteristics. Head with greatest width about 2 times its median length, and 4.3 times vertex width; median length 1.3 times median length of pronotum. Vertex slightly longer than large. Ocular commissure about one-half of eye width, and shorter than vertex length. Frons wide, with scarce setae. Third rostral segment glabrous.

Body length 12.5 times median length of pronotum. Pronotum with posterior margin straight, extremities angulated and rounded near foveae; greatest width 3.3 times its median length. Scutellum with greatest width 1.3 times its median length; length 1.4 times median length of pronotum. Claval commissure of hemelytra merging at apex of wing with stripe of hemelytral process, which extends anterad for one-fifth of hemelytra length and bears long setae. Hemelytral process shorter than membrane, extending for about five-sevenths of membrane length. Longitudinal median stripe narrow; originating near the base of hemelytra, extending to membranal suture with costal margin; margins subparallel (fig. 9). Fore femora without spiniform setae. Mesotrochanters with one group of ensiform bristles near outer margin (e.g. M. siolii , fig. 3). Mesofemora with few setae on ventral surface. Metaxyphus longer than ventropleurites, with apex trilobate (e.g. M. siolii , fig. 4). Apex of hind trochanters with sharp concavity (e.g. M. siolii , fig. 5). Inner margin of hind femora with 9 spiniform setae.

Ventral abdominal keel with hairs distributed throughout lateral and anteroventral surfaces. Dorsal margin of right side with middle portion of genital capsule strongly concave; left side with smoother concavity (fig. 10B). Both claspers rounded (fig. 10A, B); left clasper larger than right.

Paratypes. Measurementes (coleopteroid male/female). BL: 5.12–5.25/ 5.98–6.11; LV: 0.29–0.36/ 0.25–0.34; WV: 0.27–0.29/ 0.29–0.30; WE: 0.60–0.61/ 0.64–0.66; OC: 0.30–0.32/ 0.29–0.31; FS: 0.12/ 0.20–0.22; LH: 0.59– 0.69/ 0.54–0.65; WH: 1.20–1.22/ 1.28–1.32; OI: 0.58–0.63/ 0.58–0.61; LP: 0.42–0.44/ 0.42–0.46; WP: 1.38–1.40/ 1.50–1.58; LS: 0.46–0.56/ 0.60–0.68; WS: 0.70–0.80/ 0.80–0.86; LT: 4.10–4.22/ 4.93–5.12; EH: 0.40–0.46/ 0.44– 0.72; LM: 0.48–0.58/ 0.64–0.78.

Color. As holotype, except setae on outer margin of connexivum white to yellow.

Males. Structural characteristics. Head with greatest width about 1.7 to 2.0 times its median length, and 4.2 to 4.5 times vertex width; length 1.4 to 1.6 times median length of pronotum. Ocular commissure one-half to fiveninths of eye width.

Body length 11.6 to 12.5 times median length of pronotum. Pronotum with greatest width 3.1 to 3.3 times its median length. Scutellum wih greatest width 1.2 to 1.5 times its median length; length about equal, to 1.3 times median length of pronotum. Stripe of hemelytral process extending anterad for one-fifth of hemelytra length. Hemelytral process shorter than membrane, extending onto eight-tenths to five-sixths of membrane length. Mesotrochanters with one or two groups of ensiform bristles. Inner margin of hind femora with 12 to 13 spiniform setae.

Females. Structural characteristics. Head with greatest width about 2.0 to 2.4 times its median length, and 4.3 to 4.4 times vertex width; length 1.3 to 1.5 times median length of pronotum. Ratio between length and width of vertex, and length of vertex and ocular commissure variable. Ocular commissure a little shorter than one-half of eye width.

Body length 13.1 to 14.2 times median length of pronotum. Pronotum with greatest width 3.3 to 3.7 its median length. Scutellum with median length 1.3 to 1.6 times median length of pronotum. Hemelytral process shorther than membrane, extending for about three-fifths to nine-tenths of membrane length. Longitudinal median stripe wide tapering to the apex, originating near the base of hemelytra, extending to membranal suture with costal margin; inner margin with second- and third- thirds of length with concavity; outer margin continuous and raised (fig. 11). Embolium with 30 to 48 teeth from half of hemelytra length (fig. 11). Mesotrochanter without groups of ensiform bristles. Inner margin of hind femora with 12 to 14 spiniform setae.

Second half of abdomen with constriction where the toothed area fits; connexivum absent in this section (as M. siolii , Fig. 8 View FIGURES 1 – 11. 1 – 8 ).
