Carphacis jarrigei wurde aus dem westlichen Teil des Elburz-Gebirges (Alam Kuh NW Teheran) beschrieben ( SCHÜLKE 1994) und war bisher nur nach einem Exemplar bekannt, das sich in der Sammlung Jarrige (MHNP) befindet. Die Art ist offenbar im Elburz-Gebirge weiter verbreitet, der neue Fundort liegt im östlichen Teil des Gebirges, etwa 200 km vom Fundort des Holotypus entfernt.
