8. Globocalynda simplex View in CoL (Brunner v. Wattenwyl, 1907: 202 ) [ Calynda ]. LT, ♂: Callanga, Peru, Staudinger;

Collectio Br. v. W.; det. Br. v. W. Calynda simplex Br. ; 22.572 [NHMW, No. 669]. [Not: PLT’s these are G. unilobata (Brunner v. W., 1907) and G. marcapatae sp. n.]

Remarks: Careful examination of the lectotype of Calynda simplex from Callanga in S-Peru has shown this to be specifically distinct from the Bolivian paralectotypes and the latter specimens to be G. unilobata (Brunner v. Wattenwyl, 1907 ). The ♂ paralectotype from the Cordillera de Marcapata in W-Peru is specifically distinct from both species and here described as Globocalynda marcapatae sp. n. Consequently, the description and illustrations of Globocalynda simplex provided by Zompro (2001: 202) all define to G. unilobata . For measurements of the lectotype see table 7 below.

Distribution: S-Peru, Province Junín, Cerro Callanga [NHMW].
