( Figs 107–109 View FIGURE 107 View FIGURE 108 View FIGURE 109 )

Type material examined. Holotype ♀: Guinea, Monts Nimba, Mifergui, ex syconia of Ficus glumosa , 26.iv.1993, Rasplus J.-Y. leg. deposited in CBGP. Paratypes: same data as holotype, 8♀. Bakoré, ex syconia of Ficus glumosa , 2.v.1993, Rasplus J.-Y. leg., 3♀.

Etymology. The specific name refers to the small size of the species.

Diagnosis. Female body yellowish ( Fig. 107A View FIGURE 107 ). Funiculars as long as wide, not longer than broad, fu1 obconical, narrower than pedicel, basal half without longitudinal sensilla ( Fig. 107B View FIGURE 107 ). Basal carina of propodeum as an inverted V, truncate mesally ( Fig. 108B View FIGURE 108 ). Dark brown spot of fore wing not reaching base of mv, costal cell bare dorsally ( Fig. 108E View FIGURE 108 ). Petiole longer than broad, as long as hind coxa, Gt4 as long as Gt3 ( Fig. 108C View FIGURE 108 ).

Male with all funiculars long, longer than wide ( Fig. 109B View FIGURE 109 ). Dark brown spot of fore wing short and wider than long, costal cell dorsally bare, ventrally at most with two rows of setae ( Fig. 109D View FIGURE 109 ).

Description of holotype ♀ ( Figs 107–108 View FIGURE 107 View FIGURE 108 ). Length 1.90 mm. Body yellowish ( Fig. 107A View FIGURE 107 ), except beside ocelli, propodeum basally, petiole, gaster dorsally dark; antennal colour not darkened (mostly yellowish or yellowish-brown); fore wing with a dark brown spot below mv, not reaching base of mv, lower margin of mv not obscured by dark brown spot ( Fig. 108E View FIGURE 108 ); gaster bicoloured ( Fig. 108C View FIGURE 108 ); body setation whitish, setation of fore wing entirely dark.

Head 1.3× as broad as high [HW 175 & HH 135] ( Fig. 107C View FIGURE 107 ); in dorsal view stout, 1.85× as broad as long [HW 248 & HL 134] ( Fig. 107D View FIGURE 107 ); face mostly coriaceous, dorsally coriaceous and sparsely punctulate; malar space 0.71× length of eye [ms 55 & EH 78]; malar sulcus distinct, straight ( Fig. 107E View FIGURE 107 ); genal margin regularly curved, rounded; antennal toruli narrowly separated; interantennal space not raised, not carinate laterally; scrobal depression smooth, reaching the median ocellus, not carinate on margin; POL 3.14× as long as OOL [POL 69 & OOL 22] ( Fig. 107D View FIGURE 107 ); temple rounded, 0.26× the eye length (in dorsal view) [TL 26 & EL 100]; setation oriented downwards on face, outwards on the punctuate frons.

Antenna. Scape not reaching median ocellus, 5.83× as long as broad [SL 140 & SW 24]; fu1 1.09× as long as broad [fu1L 49 & fu1W 45], not longer than pedicel, not bulging dorsally; funiculars (fu2–fu4) with one row of mps and 2–3 whorls of adpressed very short setae; fu2–fu4 not longer than broad; fu5 as long as broad ( Fig. 107B View FIGURE 107 ).

Mesosoma weakly arched dorsally, 1.55× as long as wide (170:110), with deep sculpture ( Fig. 108A View FIGURE 108 ); pronotum with coarse umbilicate punctures; mesepisternum flattened, without any process or raised sculpture on epicnemium; mesoscutum with dense umbilicate punctures, transversely strigose anteriorly; notauli present, slightly obliterated by mesoscutum sculpture; prepectus bare, smooth medially; mesoscutum 0.5× as long as wide (55:110), 0.55× longer than length of pronotal collar (55:100), umbilicate laterally and coriaceous sculpture on mesoscutellar disc; mesepimeron transversally strigose; metepimeron subtriangular and areolate with long white hairs; propodeum ( Fig. 108B View FIGURE 108 ) with shallow median depression, without smooth median band, without any median carina; lateral rows of areolae short (extending at most to half-length of propodeum); basal carina inverted V, truncate mesally; lateral branches of basal carina relatively straight; distance between lateral carinae less than 0.5× width of nucha.

Fore wing with long marginal fringe, apically subtruncate (pointed anteriorly); dark brown spot below mv; basal cell bare or nearly so; mv distinctly enlarged, triangularly broadened, in lower margin straight, longer than pmv; stv not curved; pmv distinct, not longer than stv; ventral side of costal cell sparsely setose, dorsally bare; speculum present; parastigmal bristles absent ( Figs 108E, F View FIGURE 108 ).

Legs. Fore coxa without depression on frontal surface, hind coxa bare basodorsally; fore (30:12) and hind femora (30:13); hind tibia dorsally with about 5 setae, setae as long as hind tibia width basally.

Metasoma. Petiole as long as broad dorsally, ventral transverse carina between petiole and St1 present. Metasoma 1.6× as long as wide (155:95) ( Fig. 108C View FIGURE 108 ), longer than mesosoma, strongly compressed laterally and dorsally angulate ( Fig. 108D View FIGURE 108 ); ventral transverse carina between petiole and St1 absent; petiole in dorsal view longer than wide, shorter than half length of hind coxa; tergites smooth; Gt4 (in lateral view) much as long as Gt3 (at least 1.5× longer), not sinuous posteriorly; Gt5 not covered Gt6, sinuous posteriorly; Gt5 with few setae dorsally, Gt6 sparsely setose ventrally; ovipositor oriented dorsad but not distinctly upturned ( Fig. 108C View FIGURE 108 ).
