Amplaria flucticulus Shear, 2021a View in CoL , Zootaxa 4908: 222.

Male holotype and paratype from Rippled Cave, Amador Co., California (CAS).

Known only from the type locality.

This species and A. shastae View in CoL are the only known troglobitic Amplaria species. Unlike A. shastae View in CoL , A. flucticulus View in CoL lacks eyes.
