All specimens of Cephennium gallicum (1.3-1.5 mm) ( Fig. 34A View Fig ) were sampled in deciduous forests and 89% by sieving mushrooms and decaying plant material. In the entire province, not a single individual was captured with a flight-interception trap. The three species of the genus Neuraphes Thomson, 1859 also prefer the presence of broadleaf trees and none of these beetles was found near coniferous trees. Only Stenichnus scutellaris (1.4-1.5 mm) was noted in flight interception samples.
