Description: Crown light testaceous, with two symmetrical kidney-shaped yellowish white spots near anterior margin. Coronal suture distinct, little longer than half of vertex median length. Eyes black. Pronotum brown yellow, with wide transverse bright red stripe medially ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1 – 9 ). Scutellum light brown, ornamented with paired bright red spots along both sides basally ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1 – 9 ). Forewing semitransparent, light brown, with brochosome field, 1st, 4th apical cells and area between 4th apical cell and brochosome field sordid whitish ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1 – 9 ).
Male genitalia: Pygofer ventral appendage long and large, extremely expanded at base and sharply curved dorsad, apical part acutely ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1 – 9 ). Anal tube with cultrate apical appendages ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1 – 9 ). Subgenital plate broadened basally, provided with 3 long macrosetae on median lateral margin, several microsetae on apex and upper margin ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1 – 9 ). Style slim, tapering towards apex, preapical lobe well developed ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 1 – 9 ). Aedeagus with two pairs of processes, one pair long, arising from base of shaft ventrally, and another pair short, tooth-like, arising from both sides of dorsal apodeme; gonopore on ventroapical surface ( Figs 7, 8 View FIGURES 1 – 9 ). Connective nearly Y-shaped, with central lobe distinct ( Fig. 9 View FIGURES 1 – 9 ).
Specimen examined: Holotype: 3, CHINA, Yunnan Prov., Mengyang, 20 VII 2008, coll. Xiaohong Jiang.
Measurement: Body length 3, 3.4 mm (including wing).
Remarks: Similar to T. (Nlunga) decembris Dworakowska 1984 , but can be distinguished by the shape of male genitalia: dorsal apodeme of aedeagus provided with one pair of tooth-like processes, the style with longer and slender apex and the ventral appendage very long, acutely curved dorsad, much extended beyond pygofer apex.
Etymology: The species is named for the type locality: Mengyang Town.
