D i s c u s s i o n. As defined by Holroyd (1999) Sectisodon markgrafi possesses highly sectorial molars with complete fusion of the paracone-metacone and strong reduction of the protocone, which is nevertheless visible in occlusal view. It is quite a bit larger than the Napak species, and the greater development of the protocone in the upper molars differentiates it from S. occultus .
