Genus Phalacrotophora Enderlein, 1912 View in CoL View at ENA
There are about 50 species in this cosmopolitan genus. The subgeneric structure of the genus has been thoroughly discussed by Lengyel (2011b). Out of several European species, Ph. beuki and Ph. fasciata are now recorded in Israel for the first time, also representing a new generic record for the country. Both species are known to parasitize ladybird pupae ( Durska et al., 2003).
