Tetracladium marchalianum De Wild. Ann. Soc. Belge Microscop. 17: 39 (1883). (Fig. 2a–i)

Conidia with one or two globose cells and two or three filiform elements. Central axis 28–46 μm long, without basal extension and globose to ellipsoid distal cell (seldom flame-shaped). Primary branches at one level; secondary acicular branch inserted below the second globose cell.

Notes:— This is the first report of the species in Argentina. Our specimens are in agreement with Roldán (1989), but they did not have a basal extension.
