Distribution in North Carolina: Appalachian Mountains. Counties: AV (material examined) and BN, HE, HW, JA, MA, SW, TR (in literature).

Distribution in surrounding states: GA ( Smith 1957, Ipser et al. 2004), TN ( Dennis 1938, Smith 1957, Lessard et al. 2007) and VA ( Smith 1957).

Stenamma foveolocephalum Smith M.R., 1930 (rarely collected species)

Distribution in North Carolina: Piedmont Plateau. County: RI (in literature). Species described as Stenamma carolinense by Smith (1951) is now considered a junior synonym of S. foveolocaphalum (Bolton 2011) .
