Distribution in North Carolina: All regions. Counties: AA, BL, CB, DD, GA, GU, HA, JH, MD, WK, WY (material examined) and BN, CH, CR, CT, DU, HW, HE, HO, IR, JA, LN, MA, ME, MO, NH, OR, TR, YY (in literature).
Distribution in surrounding states: GA ( Wilson 1955), SC ( Davies 2009), TN ( Dennis 1938, Cole 1940) and VA ( Kjar 2009).
Nylanderia arenivaga (Wheeler, 1905) * (rarely collected species)
Distribution in North Carolina: Southeastern part of the state. Counties: CO, NH (material examined) and MO (in literature).
Distribution in surrounding states: GA ( Graham et al. 2008) and SC ( Van Pelt and Gentry 1985).
