Distribution in North Carolina: All regions. Counties: BL, CA, CH, CO, CU, DD, GU, MR, ON, RA, TR, WK (material examined) and BN, CT, DU, IR, JA, LI, MA, ME, MO, NH, OR, WY (in literature).
Distribution in surrounding states: GA ( Trager 1984, Graham et al. 2008), SC ( Davies 2009), TN ( Dennis 1938, Cole 1940, Trager 1984) and VA ( Trager 1984, Peck et al. 1998).
