Pseudoparomius slateri n. sp.

Description.— Total length: 5.04. Body elongate, dorsal surface pruinose except anterior pronotal lobe shagreened ( Fig. 4 ). Head broad. Head length: 1.00; head width: 1.05. Antenniferous tubercles slightly convergent. Antenna long, slender, segment IV fusiform and broader; light brown, darker distally; with short decumbent setae more abundant at apex; first segment shorter than half interocular space. Length of antennal segments I–IV: 0.30, 0.75, 0.65, 1.05. Eyes oval, relatively small. Eye width: 0.18; interocular distance: 0.70. Interocellar distance: 0.45. Rostrum chestnut, with short sparse semierect setae; rostrum reaching posterior border of procoxa. Length of rostral segments I–IV: 0.60, 0.48, 0.30, 0.32. Pronotum dark brown and punctuate, lateral margins of posterior pronotal lobe lighter brown. Anterior pronotal collar slightly demarcated by a furrow; anterior pronotal lobe almost glabrous and shagrened; collar and posterior pronotal lobe pruinose. Scale­like setae posteriorly on anterior pronotal lobe, transverse sulcus, and anterior half of posterior pronotal lobe. Length of collar, anterior pronotal lobe, and posterior pronotal lobe: 0.13, 0.80, 0.35, respectively; width of collar, anterior pronotal lobe, and posterior pronotal lobe: 0.78, 0.98, 0.98, respectively. Transverse impression width: 0.78. Scutellum dark brown, almost black, with scale­like setae, punctuate except for lower Y­shaped carina. Hemelytra coloration pattern as shown in fig 4, with abundant scale­like setae. Hemelytra reaching fifth abdominal segment. Pleura almost black, posterior border of metaepisternum whitish dorsally; punctuate; with short decumbent setae. Coxa, trochanter, and femora brown, apices of profemora, tibia, and tarsi light brown. Abdomen almost black, with short abundant decumbent setae. Abdominal length: 2.37; abdominal width: 1.08. Pygophore as shown in figures 24–25. Claspers ( Figs. 26–27 ) elongate and curved. Aedeagus ( Fig. 28 ): Vesica with three serrated projections.
