Polysarcus denticauda (Charpentier, 1825)
Material examined. Bohemia or., Libáň, 15.vi.2012, common, P. Marhoul observ.
European montane species distributed in the Pyrenees, the Alps, the Carpathians, and the southern Balkan mountains (Kočárek et al. 2005). In the CR, it has been considered to be rare because records exist from only three isolated areas. The most abundant occurrences are known from several localities in the White Carpathians Landscape protected area, connected with a continuous distributional range in the Carpathians. In addition, it has been also known from two isolated relict localities outside the main area of its distribution: in Bohemia near Jičín and in Moravia near Olomouc. However, at the last mentioned locality, it has not been confirmed during the last 60 years, and the population has been extinct for a long time (Holuša et al. 2007c; as noted earlier in this report). During 2008, another isolated locality was detected in the foothills northeast of the Jeseníky Mts. near Zlaté Hory (Kočárek et al. 2009).
