Oedaleus decorus (Germar, 1826)
A durable population, indicated by the collection of a series of specimens, has been recorded only at localities near Bzenec (Rezek 1944) in the period from the 1940s until the 1960s (Holuša 2012). The last observations are from the 1970s. Given the intensive yearly surveys on sands around Bzenec during last 20 years, this species must be considered regionally extinct (Holuša 2012).
The area of sandy and shallow-soil grasslands is very limited and isolated in the territory of the CR (Chytrý et al. 2010; AOPK 2011), and therefore migration by flight from the areas of regular occurrence near Lake Balaton in Hungary, which is about 240 km distant, is unlikely, even though O. decorus is considered to be a species prone to mass migrations (Schmidt & Lilge 1997).
