Type locality: Panama, Panama Province, Panama City ( Brennan and Jones 1961b). Type host: Dasypus novemcinctus L., 1758 ( Cingulata : Dasypodidae ). Type depository: USNM (holotype). Panama records. Brennan and Yunker (1966) reported this species from D. novemcinctus ( Cingulata : Dasypodidae ) in Pedro Miguel River, Panama City and Paraíso, Panama Province.
