Type localities: USA, Texas, Sonora; and Panama, Panama Province, Balboa ( Ewing 1925b). Type host: Odocoileus virginianus Zimmermann, 1780 ( Artiodactyla : Cervidae ) and Sigmodon sp. ( Rodentia : Cricetidae ). Type depository: USNM (holotype and paratype). Panama records. Only known from the type data. Other record. USA ( Ewing 1925b).
