Type locality: Panama, Chiriquí Province ( Brennan and Jones 1960). Type host: Pecari tajacu (= Tayassu tajacu ) (L., 1758) (Cetartiodactyla: Tayassuidae ). Type depository: USNM (holotype and paratypes), FMNH (paratypes), NHMUK (paratypes) and SAM (paratypes). Panama records. In addition to the type host, Brennan and Jones (1960) reported this species from B. variegatus ( Pilosa : Bradypodidae ) in Chilibre, Panama Province. Other records. Trinidad and Tobago ( Brennan and Jones 1960).
