Type locality: Panama, Chiriquí Province ( Brennan and Jones 1961b). Type host: Peromyscus mexicanus View in CoL (= Peromyscus nudipes View in CoL ) (Saussure, 1860) ( Rodentia : Cricetidae View in CoL ). Type depository: USNM (holotype). Panama records. In addition to type host, this species was reported from the rodent, P. mexicanus View in CoL (= P. nudipes View in CoL ) ( Rodentia : Cricetidae View in CoL ) in Boquete, Chiriquí Province ( Brennan and Yunker 1966).
