Type locality: Mexico, Federal district, Mexico City ( Hoffmann 1944). Type host: Homo sapiens L., 1758 ( Primates : Hominidae ). Type depository: UNAM (holotype and paratypes). Panama records. Brennan and Yunker (1966) reported this species from two marsupial species, D. marsupialis and P. opossum ( Didelphimorphia : Didelphidae ) from Panama Province. Other records. Guatemala ( Brennan and Dalmat 1960) and Mexico ( Hoffmann 1944).
