Type locality: Trinidad and Tobago, Saint Andrew County ( Brennan and Jones 1960). Type host: Zygodontomys brevicauda J.A. Allen and Chapman, 1893 ( Rodentia : Cricetidae ). Type depository: USNM (holotype and paratypes), FMNH (paratypes), NHMUK (paratypes) and
SAM (paratypes). Panama records. This species was found on two marsupials, D. marsupialis and M. robinsoni ( Didelphimorphia : Didelphidae ) from Piña, Colón and Panama Provinces, respectively, and a sciurid rodent, S. granatensis ( Rodentia : Sciuridae ), from Cerro Punta, Chiriquí Province ( Brennan and Yunker 1966).
