Polistes (Polistella) pallidus Gusenleitner 2011: 1355 , figs. 1–4, ♀, ♂ —“ Laos, Hua Phan Prov., Phou Pan (Mt.), Ban Saleui (Village), 1350–1900 m, 20°13’30’’N 103°59’26” (holotype, ♀, Oberösterreichischen Landesmuseums Linz). Polistes khasianus Cameron, 1900 View in CoL : Nguyen & Kojima 2013: 18, misidentification.

Material examined. VIETNAM: Hoa Binh: 1 ♀, Pa Co, Mai Chau, 1000 m, 23.iv.2002, TV Hoang; Son La: 1 ♀, Cua Rung village, Co Ma, Thuan Chau, 1200 m, 8.vi.2008, LTP Nguyen & PH Pham; Ha Tinh: 1 ♀, Cau Treo, Huong Son, 700 m, 30.v.2004, LTP Nguyen.

Distribution. This species was described from Hua Phan in northern Laos (Gusenleitner 2011) and is newly recorded from northern Vietnam.
