Etymology. The specific epithet is to be treated as an adjective and refers to the elongate cymbium of the male.

Diagnosis. Males of this species can be distinguished from those of all the remaining known species by having a long cymbium in the palp ( Figs 16–17 View FIGURES 15–19 ). Females can be distinguished from those of the remaining species by having a pair of small spermathecae, with the diameter not wider than twice that of the copulation ducts ( Figs 18– 19 View FIGURES 15–19 ).

Description. Male holotype: Total length: 2.70. Carapace light brown, 1.55 long, 1.12 wide, 0.85 high, with cephalic region black ( Figs 20 View FIGURES 20–23 , 49–50 View FIGURES 45–59 ). Ocular quadrangle 0.90 long. Anterior eye row 1.20 wide and posterior 1.00 wide. Chelicera yellow, with a fringe of external long setae ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 15–19 ). Labium and sternum yellow. Endite yellow, slightly projected laterally. Palp yellow, with a short and ventrally curved RTA, long cymbium, round tegulum with a distal retrolateral projection and a distal, straight embolus ( Figs 16–17 View FIGURES 15–19 ). Legs 1342, yellow. Length of femur: I 0.95, II 0.77, III 1.02, IV 0.85; patella + tibia: I 1.17, II 0.90, III 1.00, IV 0.90; metatarsus + tarsus: I 0.90, II 0.80, III 0.97, IV 1.05. Spination: femur I–III d1-1-1, IV d1-1-1, r0-0-1; patella I p1, II 0, III–IV p1, r1; tibia I v2-2-2 (proportion similar to that described for S. albipes sp. nov., see Fig. 62 View FIGURES 60–65 ), II v2-2-2, p1-1, r0-1, III v1p-0-0, p1-1, r1-1, IV v1p-0-0, p1-1, r1-1; metatarsus I v2-2, II v2-2, p1-1, r0-1, III v2-2, p1-2, r1-2, IV v1p-2, p1-2, r1-1- 2. Abdomen pale, dorsally with a complex pattern of pairs of dark brown marks ( Fig. 20 View FIGURES 20–23 ). Spinnerets yellow.

Female (paratype IBSP 160726): Total length: 3.00. Carapace dark brown, 1.60 long, 1.15 wide, 0.77 high, with the black cephalic region surrounded by a yellow border ( Fig. 21 View FIGURES 20–23 ). Ocular quadrangle 0.87 long. Anterior eye row 1.20 wide and posterior 1.05 wide. Chelicera dark brown, with no fringe. Labium, sternum, endite and palp light brown. Legs 3412; I and II light brown, prolaterally and retrolaterally dark brown, especially the retrolateral femora; metatarsi and tarsi I–IV with no dark sides; femora III–IV yellow, with ventral and retrolateral sides dark brown; patella and tibia III as in I–II; patella and tibia IV with a dark brown mark on their distal, dorsal portions. Length of femur: I 0.90, II 0.80, III 0.97, IV 0.87; patella + tibia: I 1.10, II 0.87, III 1.02, IV 0.95; metatarsus + tarsus: I 0.85, II 0.80, III 1.00, IV 1.12. Spination: femur I–III d1-1-1, p0-0-1, IV d1-1-1, r0-0-1; patella I p1, II 0, III– IV r1; tibia I v2-2-2 (proportion similar to that described for S. albipes sp. nov., see Fig. 63 View FIGURES 60–65 ), II v2-2-2, p1-1, III v1p-0-0, p1-1, r1-1, IV v1p-0-0, p1-1, r1-1; metatarsus I v2-2, II v2-2, p1-1, III v2-2, p1-2, r1-2, IV v1p-2, p1-2, r1-2. Abdomen dorsally dark brown, variegated, with barely conspicuous median chevrons ( Fig. 21 View FIGURES 20–23 ); ventrally pale. Epigyne with anterior, circular copulation openings, copulation ducts with scent glands extending towards the center and backwards, and small posterior primary spermathecae with pores of nutritive glands on walls, beside which the fertilization ducts arise ( Figs 18–19 View FIGURES 15–19 ). Spinnerets yellow.

Variation. Carapace length: 1.475–2.12 (males, n=40), 1.60–2.10 (females, n=32). Some females have yellow legs as males and some males have longer cymbia than that illustrated.

Distribution. Known only from the State of Pernambuco, Brazil.

Biological note. The specimens mentioned above were collected from the ground using pitfall traps.
