Etymology. The specific epithet is a Latin adjective (=smallest) referring to the small size of this species (see below).
Diagnosis. This species is similar to S. crispiventer sp. nov. for the small size and boxy carapace (see Figs 6– 7, 8–9 View FIGURES 6–9 ), but can easily be distinguished from that and the remaining known species by having a small, spiraled embolus in the male palp ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1–5 ) and fertilization ducts arising from elongate projections dorsally to the large spermathecae in the epigyne ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1–5 ).
Description. Male holotype: Total length: 1.87. Carapace dark brown, 0.96 long, 0.63 wide, 0.42 high, cephalic region darker ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 6–9 , 45–46 View FIGURES 45–59 ). Ocular quadrangle 0.42 long. Anterior eye row 0.68 wide and posterior 0.62 wide. Chelicera yellow. Labium and sternum yellow. Endite yellow, not projected laterally. Palp yellow, with a simple, short RTA, tegulum with a well developed sperm loop and a distal bump, and a short, distal, spiraled embolus ( Figs 2–3 View FIGURES 1–5 ). Legs 4312, yellow. Length of femur: I 0.40, II 0.37, III 0.55, IV 0.47; patella + tibia: I 0.47, II 0.42, III 0.50, IV 0.50; metatarsus + tarsus: I 0.45, II 0.42, III 0.52, IV 0.62. Spination (some spines may be modified into thin setae): femur I–II d0-1-1, III d0-1-1, p0-0-1, IV d1-1-1; patella I–II 0, III p1, IV 0; tibia I v1r-2-2 (spine proportion similar to that described for S. crispiventer sp. nov., see Fig. 64 View FIGURES 60–65 ), II v1r-1r-0, p0-1, III v1p-0-0, p0-1, r1-1, IV v0, p1-1, r1-1; metatarsus I–II v2-2, III v2-2, p1-2, r1-2, IV v0-2, p1-2, r1-1. Abdomen dorsally dark brown, with two dorsal pairs of groups of white scales on the anterior half, one pair lateral to the second pair, and one dorsal pair of transverse stripes of white scales on the posterior half ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 6–9 ); ventrally cream colored. Spinnerets yellow.
Female (paratype IBSP 160704): Total length: 1.97. Carapace dark brown, 0.97 long, 0.67 wide, 0.45 high, cephalic region black ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 6–9 ). Ocular quadrangle 0.52 long. Anterior eye row 0.70 wide and posterior 0.63 wide. Chelicera yellow. Labium, sternum, endite and palp yellow. Legs 4312; femora light brown, dark brown prolaterally and retrolaterally; patellae light brown with dark brown borders; tibiae as femora; metatarsi and tarsi light brown.
