Etymology. The specific epithet is a noun in apposition and refers to the indigenous tribe called “ Baré ”, that lives in the northwest portion of the state of Amazonas.
Remarks. Opeatocerata bare sp. nov. is similar to O. zuleideae sp. nov. by the following shared characters: phallus with large dorsal subapical appendix ( Figs 32 View FIGURES 26 – 32 , 209 View FIGURES 203 – 210 ), anterior cercus with reclinate dorsal projection in lateral view ( Figs 28 View FIGURES 26 – 32 , 205 View FIGURES 203 – 210 ) and posterior cercus with pointed dorsal subbasal projection in dorsal view ( Figs 29 View FIGURES 26 – 32 , 206 View FIGURES 203 – 210 ). Differs from the latter by the tergites without spots ( Fig. 26 View FIGURES 26 – 32 ) and posterior cercus with rounded apex and without median subtriangular projection in lateral view ( Fig. 28 View FIGURES 26 – 32 ). Opeatocerata zuleideae sp. nov. has tergites with paramedian subrectangular black spots ( Fig. 203 View FIGURES 203 – 210 ) and posterior cercus with rounded apex and with median subtriangular projection in lateral view ( Fig. 105 View FIGURES 100 – 108 ).
