Penetretus andalusicus (Reitter, 1897) View in CoL
Penetretus imitator Zamotajlov, 1990: 133 View in CoL syn. n.
Species was described by single male from Cerro Pelado (Sierra Nevada mountains, Spain) as species closely related to P. andalusicus (Reitter, 1897) View in CoL . Study of extensive material, collected by author during 2003–2006 in type locality and other regions of Sierra Navada, revealed that both species don’t show differences in external features, aedeagus and inflated endophallus structure. All the distinguishing features indicated in the description are within the limits of individual variability. New synonymy is proposed here .
