Diagnosis. Head wider than mesosoma, notably curved in dorsal view with frons convex and with short X-shaped frontal sutures; lower face notably narrowed and elongate with antennae inserted merely or much below lower eye margins; head surface broadly sculptured, except for lower face. The representatives of this group look like the somewhat coarser sculptured representatives of marjoriae group with longer lower face.
